We visit homebound and hospitalized parishioners
and ask family members to contact the Cathedral Office at 833-6433
so the ill, elderly and infirm may be visited, anointed with the
Sacrament of the Sick and brought Eucharist.
Six
Month Sacramental Marriage Preparation by the Cathedral
clergy can begin when a person has been a registered, committed
and active Cathedral parishioner for at least one year. Newcomers
who have not been registered, committed and active Cathedral parishioners
for at least eighteen months and non-parishioners may celebrate
a Catholic marriage in the Cathedral if they fulfill the Cathedral
marriage policies for non-parishioners.
Diocesan guidelines require that the engaged couple meet with their
parish priest or deacon at least six months prior to the anticipated
date of marriage and before a marriage date is set, invitations
or flowers are ordered and reception facilities reserved. At least
six months of marriage preparations are required by the Diocesan
guidelines. Kindly contact the Ministerial Assistant for Support
at 833-6433 to set an appointment with a member of the Cathedral
clergy concerning sacramental marriage preparations. Marriages are
not celebrated during Advent or Lent.
Adult Baptism and Reception of Already
Baptized Christians into the Catholic Church entails
a personally guided faith journey to Easter through the Rites of
Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Kindly contact the Ministerial
Assistant for Adult Catholic Formation at 833-6433 for more information.
Infant
Baptism is arranged for registered and committed parishioners
who actively participate in the worship, sacramental and communal
life of the Cathedral parish. Parishioners are asked to call our
Ministerial Assistant for Support at 833-6433 at least six months
prior to the anticipated date of their child's birth.
